  • Brandon Loncaric, an Oregon native with a deep-seated connection to his roots, proudly attended OYC, an experience that profoundly shaped his life's mission. Fueled by a passion for youth development, Brandon is dedicated to inspiring and coaching young individuals to realize their full potential. Through his commitment and unwavering support, he strives to empower the next generation to become the best versions of themselves, guiding them towards bright and successful futures.

Kelly Allen

  • Kelly Allen is a trailblazer in community engagement and a founding member of the Oregon Youth Center, Inc. With a strong commitment to local development, she also serves on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Community Resource Network, Inc. Additionally, Kelly actively contributes as the Library Representative on the Oregon Area Wellness Coalition. Her multifaceted involvement reflects her dedication to fostering growth, wellness, and resource accessibility within the Oregon community.

Katie Scheifelbein

President

  • Katie Schefielbein, a dedicated Oregon resident, is deeply involved in her community. As a mother with children attending RCI, OMS, and OHS, she is committed to making a difference. Through her volunteer work on the OYC Board, Katie leverages her expertise in human resources to assist OYC staff in recruitment, engagement, and achieving goals.

Joel Olsen

  • Joel Olsen, a distinguished retired minister, has dedicated his illustrious career to the nurturing and development of youth. At the Oregon Youth Center (OYC), Mr. Olsen upholds his commitment to youth enrichment by supporting programs that promote wholesome activities and cultivate meaningful relationships among young individuals. In his capacity as a liaison, Mr. Olsen fosters collaboration between OYC and the Scout troops that have recently partnered with the center. His steadfast dedication and professional demeanor continue to inspire and positively impact the community.

Kelly Patel

Board Member

  • I have been a part of this great community since 2007. I have three boys enrolled in the Oregon School District. I enjoy the outdoors and love to garden. I take pleasure in being able to walk through Anderson Park and going to the Dane County Dog Park. The pickleball courts are enjoyed by my whole family. I love riding my moped and my Jeep with the top off during the warmer weather months. To me, this is a form of therapy.

    The Oregon Youth Center plays a vital role in the growth and well-being of this community. I love how it provides a safe, inclusive environment for adolescents to go to on a regular basis and have a sense of belonging and feeling welcomed. I am honored to be able to collaborate with the youth that attend the Youth Center, Director, and Board Members.

Gwen Lister

  • Gwen's teaching journey started beyond the borders of Oregon, where she gained valuable experience. After moving to Oregon, she taught at a local middle school and later transitioned to substitute teaching in the Oregon school district. Gwen's unwavering dedication to her students and her inclusive teaching approach have made her a cherished educator in the Oregon community.

Justin Beaty

Board Member

  • Justin is and Oregon resident and is Associate Pastor working with youth at People's United Methodist Church in town. He is thrilled to serve on the board at the Oregon Youth Center as part of his larger desire to support the youth of the whole Oregon Area community. He enjoys travel, trivia, cheering on the Washington Huskies, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog.

Jo Wiersema

  • Jo Wiersema has been in Oregon since 2019 and enjoys working with and in the community. They spend their time volunteering around the village, drinking too much coffee at the Kickback Cafe, and reading as many books as possible at Oregon Public Library. They currently serve as the pastor at First Presbyterian Church.
